The Chermshahr Complex is located in the Charman Shahr Industrial Park in Varamin, Tehran Province. This complex consists of two plots with a total area of 9,600 square meters, featuring 4 processing halls with an area of 2,000 square meters. It has a storage capacity of 4,500 tons of various feed and products on-site, along with a 300-ton stainless steel reactor with a Complete Mix process, and the capability to load 4,400 tons of product daily.

This complex processes various incoming feeds, including soap noodles, fatty acids, sunflower oil, soybean, cottonseed, canola, and tallow, with a capacity of 1,600 tons per day. The process is carried out through an acid splitting process in specialized soap noodle tanks, which are fully optimized and designed and built within the company’s processing units. Then, through catalytic and mechanical processes in the production line, which is the result of the experience and knowledge of local experts, a fully indigenous technology, the feed is transformed into clean fuel for the units.

The complex is equipped with 5 fully automatic standard scales, capable of simultaneously unloading 12 tanker trailers and loading 5 containers. The simultaneous unloading of 12 tanker trailers is made possible by the design and construction of a pumping station, which includes 9 gear and centrifugal pumps, along with 12, 6, and 4-inch collectors, ensuring the separate transfer to the appropriate storage tanks. The loading operation is carried out after positioning and securing the containers using flexible bags designed specifically for oily materials. With precise weighing, and an error margin of less than one kilogram, the process is performed using 7 centrifugal and gear pumps, along with 5 loading arms.

The Chermshahr Complex has a utility system that includes a water treatment section with a capacity of 50 cubic meters per day, a cooling tower with a capacity of 5 cubic meters per hour, a fire-fighting system, a 400KV diesel generator, two LP steam boilers with a production capacity of 7,000 kilograms of LP steam per hour, and a hot oil system with a capacity of 1,250,000 Kcal. Additionally, the complex has a solvent recycling system with a capacity of 210 tons per month, which is used for reuse in the process and is installed and in service.

At the Charman Shahr Complex, an effluent treatment system with a capacity to treat 45,000 kilograms per hour has been designed and implemented to control the output wastewater, with the goal of removing oil and neutralizing it. The complex also has an administrative area of 800 square meters, which includes the management and staff offices, as well as a 200-square-meter staff dormitory and restaurant with the capacity to serve 20 people.

This complex utilizes the latest technologies for equipment protection and is continuously monitored and maintained by qualified inspectors.

Eshtahard Factory:

The Eshtahard Industrial Complex is located in the Eshtahard Industrial Park. This complex consists of three plots, with a total area of 7,200 square meters, and includes two halls with a total area of 1,400 square meters. It has a storage capacity of 2,000 tons of products on-site and the ability to load 2,200 tons of products daily.

At this complex, feedstock, including waste from vegetable and animal oils and fatty acids, undergoes necessary processing in the production tanks. After controlling the chemical and physical parameters, it is transformed into industrial oils for the production of clean fuel. Additionally, a 360KV diesel generator is available for emergency power outages, and two LP boilers, with a total capacity to produce 3,500 kilograms of LP steam, are installed with dual-fuel capabilities.

This complex operates as Zero Discharge. In the development phase of the Eshtahard Complex, a fatty acid production unit with a capacity of 30,000 tons per year using the Splitting process is currently under construction and is expected to be operational by 2024.

Quality Control

The Central Laboratory of Petro Imen Sharif Knowledge-Based Company has been established with the goal of quality control for feedstock and products, as well as conducting research activities. It is located in the Charman Shahr complex, in a building covering an area of 120 square meters. The laboratory is in the process of obtaining ISO 17025 certification to collaborate with the National Standard Organization of Iran.

As one of the most equipped laboratories in the region, it is capable of performing routine water tests, measuring impurities, assessing free fatty acid levels, and evaluating oil quality. Furthermore, with the expertise of the specialists at Petro Imen Sharif and advanced equipment such as ICP-EOS, GC, and ED-XRF, the laboratory is capable of detecting heavy metals, profiling fatty acids, analyzing organic compounds, and measuring sulfur compounds.

Considering that all samples are analyzed at the central laboratory located in the Charman Shahr factory, only preliminary tests are carried out at the Eshtahard factory laboratory.
